Summary
“It’s pretty simple, really,” said Harvey. “This group convenes here at ten o'clock on the first Friday of every month. We play poker – dealer’s choice – for the next four hours. We play for money, but to make things more interesting, the overall winner of the night also takes home the jackpot.”
Mike glanced around the table, but found no clues forthcoming, so he asked, “Jackpot?”
“Haven’t you guessed yet? That would be you.”
Mike opened his mouth, but nothing came out.
Description
We have here a Hard Cover book with a custom printed cover with contrast spine of green faux velvet. It has red splash pages, a red bookmark ribbon, and playing card page breaks and details. I wanted see how difficult it would be make a custom print cover, and I learned it's not the easiest, but very much possible. I love how this came out.
This one is wild! Mike tries to get his life on track on his own, Harvey comes in and complicates things for a high stakes Card game. Mike further complicated things by being Mike. It is so freaking funny and ubserd, these people are crazy and Mike gets beat up. But he also makes friends and falls in love with a brilliant idiot. Ths story is just a wild ride.
