Our Bodies Safe to Shore

“I beg your pardon,” he repeated for what had to be the fifth time, “but married?”
The coat that had started the whole thing was innocuously hanging on the rack next to the door, and Obi-Wan resisted the urge to glare accusingly at it.
“Sorry,” said Rex with an awkward shrug, “but I don’t make the rules.”
In which there is a deal, a coat, and what comes after.
(or the selkie au)
A fascinating modern folktale, where the old stories of the Fae and magic are true, and man has clumsily carved out their place in the world. Rex and Obi-wan stumble into love with Rex's obnoxious family there to help while Obi-wan's painful history is played out in the background. An engrossing read with humor, softness, and shenanigans that endear you to this mostly familiar world and characters, concluded with a fantastic finale. Also, it takes place in New Zealand, which is beautiful.
This is a Paper Hardcover with Contrast Spine and Nautical theme; also banding for extra detail and not at all because I accidentally damaged some of the paper and needed to cover it up. It has starfish on the back, a label maker title, blue splash pages, a peach bookmark ribbon, and seal page breaks. A great cover and book I happily come back to for comfort.
